With Seat Time Adventures coming up quickly, we knew we needed to get some serious technical single track riding under our belt. Woody was joined by Todd Slavik, James Hill and a plethora of other riders who wanted to sweat, a lot, in the woods outside of Gilmer, Texas. The trails we rode have some close to tight trees, but the rocks and roots that combine within the trees make Barnwell Mountain a long day in the saddle.
The Sherco is starting to get good and broken in. Woody is getting more comfortable on the bike, mentioning a few times in the video how he’s feeling the minor adjustments to controls that he needs to make. This showcases how much more in tune with the Sherco he is becoming. The Mako360 is greatness. Woody’s baby hands are having a field day in the woods now. Not sure o the Spurs pegs though, it’s just tough to tell. Those will probably be a life saver in Colorado for Woody’s ankle after 4 days of Colorado single track.
If you’re wondering about Barnwell Mountain, it is an OHV park outside of Gilmer, Texas that is open to the public. There are roughly 30 miles of dirt bike single track, trails for ATV’s, UTV’s and spots for Jeep’s to do their rock crawling thing. Some of the vehicles that you see running around are pretty crazy looking.
